+ So, I got all the work done that I could do today in a little over 7 hours. I picked Isaac up from home on my way back from Orange Park (where I got stuff for church, so I count it as work time) and he worked on his laptop on my desk while I worked assembling notebooks and letters at my counter. That was nice - I could just turn around and lean over and kiss him. He was kind enough to stuff and seal the envelopes for me as I did other work, which is why I got out of there in under 8 hours. I just have the bulletin and sermon PowerPoint to do on Saturday evening, which means I may get to do more at Fellowship Group than just eat. Yay!

+ Wednesday nights are such awesome TV nights. Pushing Daisies, Criminal Minds (most Wednesdays, but, sadly, not tonight), Law & Order, and Bones to watch online tomorrow or Friday. I just heard the other day that Pushing Daisies is canceled though. Sad. But at least we get to finish this season - unlike what happened to Journeyman last year.

+ So apparently the friends I referred to Swagbucks had a good day too. Instead of being up to 83 points, I'm up to 99! ROCK ON! I'm 1/4 of the way to a $50 Southwest Airlines GC! Thanks to all who've joined under me.

+ Yesterday as I walked to work I saw a sign on a church a few blocks from our house that Tim Hawkins is coming there on Dec. 15! Tim Hawkins is tied with Brian Regan for my favorite comedian. We will so be there to see him! I can't wait. (If you haven't heard of him, look him up on YouTube.) If I hadn't walked to work, I wouldn't have known about this! Walking to work is fun too because Ken and John (youth pastor) walk by my office and look confused - "Wait - I didn't know you were here. Where's your car?" Hehe.

+ I'm wearing a magenta sweater with pretty big (larger than a nickel) jeweled flower buttons today. It's a recent thrift store find, originally from Express, and part angora, so it's really soft. It is SO not traditional Bethany (did I mention it's magenta and has big jeweled flower buttons?), but I love it! Speaking of recent thrift store finds that I love, those 3 pairs of $3 jeans that I got at a recent storewide 50% off sale have pretty much been worn every day since I got them. This is now my Holy Grail brand and size, I think. I hope they still fit when I lose the inches off my hips.

+ I uploaded my potential commercial comp. card photos to Facebook, and would love your opinions on them. If you have a FB, you can leave comments there. If you don't, please let me know here which ones you like best. I need to know which ones are people's faves so I can choose which ones to have printed to show to Suzi. I may end up printing them all... unless there're some no one likes at all. With prints running 19¢ each, if there are just 5 I don't print, that's saving $1. Yeah, I'm cheap. Did I mention paying upwards of $5K for a new roof this week?  =o/

+ I listed some of my CVSing goodies and shoes I barely wore on Ebay. If any of you wear a size 10 shoe, or 11 if you like knee-high boots, check out my auctions. *crosses fingers that it'll all sell*

+ I think getting more cardio has been helping me sleep better. I haven't been laying awake for hours any night since I started walking everywhere. That's a big praise!

+ I've been seriously craving Gilmore Girls lately. I would start watching them again if I wasn't already working my way through Buffy for the first time since it aired. Heh. Maybe I can do both at once?

+ Well, I need to go finish up my laundry and pack for Charleston. We're leaving EARLY, so the next time I update will be from there.  =o)

L&O. I'm waiting for it. 46 minutes left to go. ;)

I am really going to miss Pushing Daisies. =(

I'm watching it right now. Nah, nah, nah nah, nah. ;o)

Me too. *sigh* I hope they knew the end was coming before they filmed the final episodes so they can resolve some things. I really want Chuck's aunts to find out she's still alive!

That episode ticked me off so much. HOW DARE THEY ARREST LUPO!! NOBODY TOUCHES HIM! *smacks their hands away* I was tickled when Jack decided at the end he would run for the position. YAY!

... actually, they didn't know about the cancellation prior to writing the last episode, so it ends in a cliffhanger... =P

No kidding! Maybe the other detective, who I care for so little I haven't bothered to learn his name, but not Lupo! I love him. I wish he could've been partnered with Ed for a lot longer.

Oh, that stinks! Oh well. I'll make up my own ending in my head, as I have often had to do.

I don't know his name either. I don't even care. Lupo is da man! =D

Apparently, they're doing a comic book to finish up the series? Pooh. They ought to just fund one last episode. =P

Didn't you just recently watch all of the Gilmore Girls seasons again? :P

No. I talked about it, but didn't do it. Well, I watched like 2 discs. But then life got in the way. I haven't watched the whole thing for over a year now. More like a year and half. =o(

Aww, I'm so sad about "Pushing Daisies" being canceled, but it doesn't come as a big surprise :(. There's just not enough going on with the show to make more than two seasons out of it, really. I'm glad they get to finish it out at least!

Date: 2008-12-04 01:06 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bluiidmommy.livejournal.com
Plus, the main conflict isn't one they can really resolve and after long enough, it'll just get frustrating.

Date: 2008-12-04 05:12 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] dramaticsuzy.livejournal.com
It's already frustrating! How on earth did they plan to resolve that?

Date: 2008-12-06 10:54 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
I would think that since there is no explanation for why Ned has the powers, they could make up whatever they want to have him be rid of them or make an exception for people he raised who've lived for a year, or whatever.

But do they really need to touch? Not really. Sure, a serious romantic relationship that's not even a bit physical would be frustrating, but love doesn't need sex to exist, ya know?

Date: 2008-12-06 10:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
I disagree. Ned & Chuck have been fine without touching all this time, and the crime-solving aspect of the show is actually my favorite part. They could easily keep solving crimes for many seasons - like Monk or Psych.

Gotta say I disagree with you on this one.

Yeah? Well I disagree with you times infinity, so there! ;)

From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
No, I'm not surprised either - it's too smart and quirky to be a huge hit. But I think there is plenty to make more seasons out of. Solving crimes has kept numerous series on the air for years - it could do the same for PD. Alas.

Before I forget, I looked at your size 10 patent leather Mary Janes, and I don't know if you know, but at the bottom, you say "sorry for any problems this may call you." I think you probably mean "cause," so I thought I'd mention it. Btw, the shoes are cute, and if I were a size 10, I would SO get them!

Aww, kissing husbands is so nice (well, actually, I just want to kiss one, mine, but you know what I mean, hehe).

Yay for sleeping well again! Getting up several times a night is finally getting to me, so I think I'm going to have to start catching naps some days to catch up on my own sleep.

Yikes! I need to watch Pushing Daisies from last week and this! We've been watching Bones, and since yesterday was a crappy day, I didn't watch anything. Also, you should check out The Mentalist. It comes on on Tuesdays at 9 on CBS.

I still need to join swagbucks. I just keep forgetting.

I keep picturing this hideously tacky sweater, though I know that can't be right!

Have fun in SC! I'm off to look at your pictures, and I'll let you know what I think. :)

Oops. I noticed that after I copied it on another one, but forgot to change it. Oh well - only one more day left on the auction, so it doesn't matter. I adore those shoes. I searched for them several places and finally found them online. Alas - Mudd doesn't make them in 10.5 or 11. I thought they were cute enough to scrunch up my toes in, but in the end they hurt too much. =o(

Kissing husbands when one would otherwise be husbandless is EXTRA nice. =o)

I can imagine! Do the girls ever all nap at the same time?

We've been watching The Mentalist since it first began, don't worry. =o) Actually, the first episode was especially funny in regard to my "the familiar person did it" theory. When that first started I saw one guy and immediately proclaimed that either he did it, or he would die. Well, he did do it, AND he died! It was so funny! I love the main guy on that show. I do wish they'd let him have his Aussie accent though! I don't understand why producers insist that people with great accents do an American one. I'd like House even more if he was allowed to sound British, and The Mentalist would be so much better if the main character was Australian!

Yep, you do. Hehe.

No, it's not tacky. It's from Express - you know it can't be THAT bad. I'll take a picture one of these days.

I did! It was a great trip. Freezing yesterday though.

Thanks for your comments on my pics!

That's very sad indeed. :(

True, true.

Jill doesn't nap anymore, and while Beth naps at the same time (roughly) every day, Kate's not really old enough to have a good schedule. I tried to get a nap today (I had Jill take a nap just cuz she and Beth have been getting up so early lately since Jon has to go to work earlier in December), but between Jill playing, the baby wanting to eat, and my STUPID cat deciding that today, of all days, to play like a real cat, I didn't really get one. I conked out on the couch this evening for about a half hour, though, while the girls watched Toy Story. I'm still not sure if that was a good idea--I'm still kind of groggy.

Wow, that was a long reply to such a simple question!

We only just started watching it, but ever since we have, I've always been right about whodunit. Jon's getting better at figuring it out. And, yeah, his accent is awesome. Did you know Hugh Laurie was on Friends once? Jon found it on youtube, so that's the reason I know what he sounds like, otherwise I would have no idea.

Express? Big flower buttons? Aaagh! I can't reconcile the two!

No prob. :)

WOW...WOW...WOW...those boots are AWESOME! I may have Michael bid on them (he has an eBay account; I don't). I'm going to the consignment store tonight to see how much money I might have made this past month. My budget is really tight right now, but if I do well, I may be able to afford to bid on them. :o)

Otherwise, if you have a heart, save them for me and I'll buy them from you in January. LOL! I am serious about that...I always get a crudload of money for Christmas and I've wanted pointy-toed leather boots for a while. I'm a size 10, but I sometimes have issues with pointy-toed in my size so I have to go a size up. As a What Not to Wear fan I've had it ingrained in me about those types of footwear. LOL

Date: 2008-12-04 02:31 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] t-jay.livejournal.com
Haha, and I got so excited about the boots that I forgot to comment on your photos. I like the first two the best. Your face is absolutely adorable on the first (as though it's not adorable enough already! LOL) and your figure is very flattering on the second. And maybe you were smiling while making copies because you just found out you earned a healthy raise! LOL

Date: 2008-12-07 07:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
Now, that would indeed be a reason to smile! =o) Thanks for letting me know which ones you like the best!

Date: 2008-12-07 07:37 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
Ah, I wish I had known you wear size 11! I would've definitely rather sold them to you than some stranger on Ebay. Someone has already bid on them though, so I can't pull the auction. However, it is only up to $5 + shipping right now, so you can still afford it. Hehe. The auction ends tonight (Sunday) at 10:39 Eastern time. I really wish they would sell for more though, because I paid a lot more for them.

I love WNTW, but I don't have cable so I've only seen it a few times. Still, I *HATE* pointy-toed shoes, no matter how much they push them. Bleh. I didn't realize these were so pointy when I bought them. Not like it matters, since they were too big anyway.

Date: 2008-12-07 08:07 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] t-jay.livejournal.com
Could I have Michael bid on them and then me not pay you, or have you ship them to me, until January? Obviously I would pay you first...and would bid a LOT more than $5! LOL

Let me know by 10 p.m. tonight, or whenever it closes. I may send you a text as well....

Date: 2008-12-07 08:14 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
Hmm. I'm not sure what Ebay rules are about that. Like, I don't know if they will flag my/Michael's account for not collecting/paying. Hmm. I will let you know by 10:00 if I find out anything.

Date: 2008-12-07 08:27 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] t-jay.livejournal.com
I hope it works out for us. It's ridiculous that someone bid so little on them.

But if it doesn't, it's not that big of a deal for me. I already have a pair of pointy-toed boots, just not leather...but they are Liz Claiborne that I bought on clearance at our local Value City when they said they were going out of business...and then retracted...and since have, in fact, gone under. :oP

However, since that heel is a little smaller than what is on the boots I own...*Sigh*...LOL

From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
I have some non-leather ones too, and I love them, but my leather ones are my favorite. I paid the price for the favorites, too. Hehe. They may be the most expensive item of clothing I've ever purchased.

And the heels on my faves are about the same as these, and they're so comfy but still sophisticated. You'll love them!

Date: 2008-12-07 08:44 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] t-jay.livejournal.com
Michael just told me that eBay wouldn't ding either your nor Michael's accounts Michael said he once ran into a situation where he won a bid but then had an unexpected situation where he had to delay payment a little bit. He communicated that with the seller and the seller had no problem with it. He says method and speed of payment are between the buyer and the seller and stays out of it so long as the seller pays the seller fee.

So, of course, this is up to you, if you believe I will make good on payment within a couple to three weeks. :o) Let me know, as well as if you find out anything further, too.

Good to know for future reference. I would've said yes anyway, just so you know. =o) I just had a CRAZY night. I swear every kid at our church kids club was on speed, and then my dad dislocated his finger and my mom is on her way back from Charleston and we have to pick her up across town and I have a cold... yeah. It's been One of Those Nights. =oÞ

I sent you some text messages, but just in case...I went ahead and had Michael do the "Buy it Now" option at your asking price of $49.99, and you should receive payment via PayPal in a couple of days. I simply could not turn down this offer. LOL :oD

Date: 2008-12-08 03:37 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
Wow! He paid very quickly. I will be mailing the boots today! I hope you love them! You got quite a deal, too, as I did when I purchased them (for the same price as you, if I recall correctly). That is apparently a very high end brand. You can find deeply discounted sandals of theirs for $40, so boots must retail for like $200!

Date: 2008-12-08 05:51 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] t-jay.livejournal.com
Thanks! Although it will take a day or two for PayPal to process the payment, in case you prefered waiting for that...but otherwise, this should mean I'll get them in time for my California trip! :oD

You still have my address, correct? (Maple Street.)

From: [identity profile] kimana83.livejournal.com
Yep, I have it. Turns out I may not be able to send it till tomorrow though. (The roofer is coming over to collect on the work they did, but I don't know when. =oÞ ) But I should be able to send it tomorrow. =o)
