+ Today I have done a lot of things I needed to do. I have more to do, though, but am thinking of shelving the rest and going out to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine with a book.
+ Florida's weather in the winter is crazy. Up and down, up and down. Saturday it was almost 80º, and then today it's 50º. We're expecting freezing temps tonight and tomorrow, but then back up to 80º on Saturday. Warm weekends and cool weekdays is better than the opposite, but I just find the yo-yo temperatures amusing.
+ This cold just will not let go of me. I don't have as much of the painful symptoms as I did when it started 2 weeks ago, but I can't get rid of my cough or runny nose. I did get paid to take some other cold medicine from Walgreen's the other day, so I might try it out to see if it helps.
+ Yesterday I wore makeup for the first time in 2 weeks. I got out of the habit when I was sick. Today I'm not wearing any. Wednesday I have to wear a lot because of the runway go-see, which, BTW, is definitely going to be made easier by those heels with straps that I bought last week. It's so nice to have heels that stay on my feet! Wow. What a difference. I can even take long strides! I wore them around as I did some dishes and made dinner, and felt very Stepford. LOL.
+ I've been eating so badly lately. Yesterday for lunch was Mexican food, and dinner was a whole bag of Crazy Bread and a few bites of cheesecake. Hehe. Saturday we had burgers, onion rings, and more cheesecake for lunch, and lasagna for dinner. And I had lasagna leftovers for lunch today too. I should probably just eat carrots for dinner. LOL.
+ Listening to music in Spanish is fun because I only know a few words, and the rest I just hear incorrectly, so then I spend a few minutes pondering the idea of writing a song about cheese, or whatever word I thought I heard them say.
+ This isn't the deepest entry ever, is it. Ha. Oh well.

Date: 2009-03-02 11:54 pm (UTC)I often go through spurts where I don't wear any makeup for no reason at all, but usually not for 2 weeks.

Date: 2009-03-03 07:52 pm (UTC)It was! And so bad for me. Hehe. I ate a healthy dinner last night... and then went to a friend's house and ate M&M cookies and Sour Patch Kids! LOL.

Date: 2009-03-03 03:59 am (UTC)When I get out of the habit of wearing make-up, it is hard to get back into! When I'm getting ready in the morning, I'm like, "Eh, I don't need to spend time on that." I pretty much always wear foundation and a pore minimizer cream when I go out in public, though. I bought a bunch of make-up last weekend to cheer myself up (is it bad that it really worked, lol?) and it has been much easier getting myself to put it on when I get ready in the mornings ;)
Good luck on the go-see! I'm so proud of myself for knowing what that is :P That's really cool about the shoes, too! I love really high heels, but I can't seem to keep my feet right in them and I end up wobbling and shuffling around :/

Date: 2009-03-03 08:17 pm (UTC)I'm starting to wonder if there's more to mine as well, since it's hanging on this long. I've never had a cold go longer than a week and a few days before. Now again last night and this morning I've got a headache to go with my runny nose. *sigh* I hope your doctor is able to give you some good antibiotics or something to get you better!
Definitely. I'm not wearing it today either. It's just like, eh, why bother? And thankfully my parents gave me good skin, so all I have are dark circles (got those from my mom) and some unevenness. I can deal with that. I used to always wear concealer and foundation. Now I'm too lazy for even that! And I love mascara for how it looks but I rub my eyes a lot so even the so-called smudgeproof formulas end up making me a raccoon, so I rarely wear it. Do you have any favorite makeup brands that cheer you up even more than the rest? ;o)
Ha! I only know because of the few seasons of America's Next Top Model that I've watched. This is my first actual go-see, but I went to a casting a few weeks ago. I don't know how go-sees differ from castings, though. Maybe fewer people? Because there were a lot of models at the casting. I guess I'll know the difference, if any, tomorrow.
Heels are torture devices. Torture devices that most women choose to use on themselves! But they do look awfully nice. This is the first day ever that I am willingly wearing heels, because I need to get used to them for tomorrow's go-see. Thankfully, the ones I have a) have straps to keep them on, and b) are only 2 3/4" heel, so they're not too bad in the scheme of things. I brought some flats just in case my feet start to kill me though.

Date: 2009-03-03 10:46 pm (UTC)Have you ever tried Mucinex? I probably spelled that wrong . . . My dad has it and when I'm feeling really stuffed up and like I need things broken up, I take some and I feel like it is working. Hope that wasn't TMI! I usually take it right before bed because it leaves a weird feeling in my mouth and throat.
I'm so mad that I didn't inherit my mom's clear skin! It is so unfair! I did get my porcelain skin from her side (my grandma), and I like that, so I guess it is one thing or anther. I don't really have too much trouble with my skin, but it isn't perfect. I also am going through the early 20's chemical change and I have to find a new way to take care of it :( Things I took before I have allergic reactions to or it doesn't totally work! I'm really loyal to Clinique as far as most cosmetics and skin care. I've been using the clarifying lotion since I was in my early teens and there is nothing like it! They also have the best mascara for making the biggest impact. If you are interested, I can find the exact name of it. Then, I usually have problems with my skin picking up the pigments from eye shadow (no matter how much I put on, it is too light), but their eye shadow is what you see is what you get for me. I still get those lines from the oil and the wrinkles in my eyelid, and I use something from Mary Kay for that. It doesn't totally work, and so I can't wear eye shadow for more than a few hours :/ I'm not too into lip gloss because it gets everywhere and I take sips from my water bottle a lot, but I've had a few gift wit purchases from Clinique that were lip gloss, and if I were to use lip gloss more, I would definitely pick that one! Again, it is one of those all or nothing things :) There was a guest on Fox News once and she had lip gloss on and she said something about having the prerequisite amount of lip gloss on for the female anchors and I noticed after that how glossy everyone's lips were! So I think of Clinique lip gloss as "Fox approved"! Sometimes I wear blush, but my cheeks usually are already pink and I don't really need it. It does make my skin look clearer sometimes, though. Oh, and as far as make-up remover: Lancome! They've got the best! I have really sensitive skin and eyes which is why I don't wear make-up as much as I would normally. I wipe my eyes, too, but after a few times of realizing what I did, I usually stop :) LOL! I feel so girly after talking make-up so much!!!
"America's Next Top Model" here, too! I never would have thought I would be interested, but my cousin lived with us for about a year and she would watch it and I kept her company and got so addicted! Over the summer I think VH1 would have marathons with whole seasons in a day? I think I've seen just about every episode :P I didn't watch last season, though, because I think I was on ANTM burn out. My dad is a graphic designer and shots models a lot, and so it is interesting watching him watching it sometimes. He says that they aren't really that good and I think he would get really frustrated working with them! He also says that a good model should also have some acting experience. Well he *said* that one day when he was having trouble with a model who didn't show enough emotion.
I thought you were talking about like 4 inch heels, so that sounds a lot better, lol! I usually wear a little bit of a heel because for some reason flats make my feet hurt. I think I just got so used to the support from the heels. I hurt my back over the summer and haven't been able to wear my really high heels for a while :( I think the highest I can wear now is like 1 1/2 inches? It was SOOOO hard walking in only flats for a couple months! Oh, and when you take off your heels and walk on the flat floor, do you get that weird feeling like the floor is warped somehow and bumpy, but it is actually because you are used to the heels? I think that feeling is so cool, lol! Yes, I'm weird like that . . .
Yes, I definitely feel girly now :D
