+ Someone please tell me it's not actually less than two weeks until Thanksgiving. I like denial. Denial is happy. It's not that I don't love Thanksgiving - rather, I love it - it's just Thanksgiving comes right before Christmas, which comes right before the end of the year. In my mind, it can't possibly be later in 2008 than July. Seriously, now.

+ I loooooove my outfit today. Yep - loooooove. I'm wearing that cream silk wrap shirt with ruffles and a pair of dark jeans that I got from the thrift store the other day, and it is awesome.

+ DUDE. It's only 3:15 and Ken has already given me the sermon notes! I might be able to get out of here by 6:00!

+ According to SuperCook.com, I can make over 1,000 recipes with the ingredients in my kitchen. In case those of you who have cooked in my kitchen and found yourself appalled at the lack of ingredients (and small appliances) are wondering, I did not make that up. Of course, the basil and oregano are still the bottles [livejournal.com profile] abideinchrist bought me when she came to visit and couldn't believe I didn't own either one. Hehe. Unfortunately, SuperCook doesn't let you search for just healthy recipes. I'd really like for us to eat better, especially since we won't be rejoining the gym. I also need to figure out how to convince Isaac that a meal doesn't always have to include meat.

+ And according to this article, the worst hot coffee drink anywhere is Starbuck's hot White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha - otherwise known as my favorite coffee drink. Heh. A venti-sized glass has 660 calories, 22 g fat (14 g saturated), and 95 g sugar. I mean, I knew it was bad for me, but I didn't know it was that bad.  I certainly didn't think it would have twice the calories of a single with cheese from Steak 'n Shake!

+ I've started watching Buffy, the Vampire Slayer again. Such a funny show. I just finished season 1. I forgot that that person died so early in the series. That means we get Faith soon, right? I was also thinking, as I watched Buffy fighting the Master yesterday, how funny it is that my dad let us watch that show the first few seasons it was on (then I went to college), but dislikes Harry Potter. People are not often logical. But I love him anyway. And I'm glad he let us watch Buffy. Hehe.

+ So, I heard a big crash earlier. I went and looked in every room in the direction of the sound except the bathrooms, and found nothing. I just thought I was hearing things. Then just a minute ago I went to use the bathroom and found the cause: there's a leak somewhere which warped the bathroom wall so much that the hook holding up a big mirror came out, and the mirror crashed onto the floor.  O.o  There's broken glass everywhere, and a bubble of water in the wall. ¡No es bueno! That really stinks. (But at least I'm not crazy...)

E.T.A.: + So, today I made a Newsboys station on Pandora. The first song it played was "Breakfast", which I hadn't heard in who knows how long. Now I'm listening to Air1, and guess which song they're playing? Yep - "Breakfast". Weeeiiird.

+ Well, time to water the plants and finish the bulletin. Happy weekend!

I can make it worse! A Peppermint White Mocha Frappuccino.

Yeah, I don't drink white mocha at all for the sole reason that 1) I think it looks disgusting and 2) It has a booty-load of bad stuff in it.

You could go for a tuxedo mocha to wean yourself off.

What makes that worse? (I don't know what's in anything, hehe.)

Haha, maybe that's why they put lids on them?

What's in a tuxedo mocha? Can I just ask for that and they'll know what I mean? Thanks for the suggestion!

I love Steven Curtis Chapman. He's been on my mind a lot the past few days.

I cannot believe how fast November is flying! Seriously, it was JUST October!

What did you think of last night's SPN?

I don't listen to his music as much as I used to, but there are definitely a few songs of his that really just get me, ya know? "Be Still" is one of them.

Dude, it was just May! Hehe.

Eh. I don't like that they're making the angels be the bad guys and a demon be a good guy. I keep hoping there's some grand arc where they just don't understand God's ways, but I'm doubting it. Bummer, too, 'cause the angel thing could've been so cool. I did love the girl saying that the first thing she heard was "Dean Winchester has been saved." Very cool. I'm also annoyed that we had an almost-sex scene last night and from the looks of the preview we might get another next week. GRR.

*not reading spoilers...not reading spilers*

Crap. I did. Okay... not too bad. I love the Angels...and yeah, I thought they could be a great part of the story. Hope they don't mess it up too bad.

Bleh sex scenes. Sometimes though I'm surprised at how few there are considering Dean... so I guess we can be thankful it's not worse.

And I seriously need a better Supernatural icon. Cause that's not even a SPN icon! It's from Dark Angel... ah but who cares? It's Jensen and that's always good. :-D

Haha, sorry. That's what you get for comment eavesdropping. ;o)

Well, I didn't have high hopes for them to get the theology right, so I'm hardly shocked, but it's still a bummer that they're making the boys trust demons over angels.

I know - although if they did more, we probably would not have gotten so into the show. Well, at least maybe not. Hehe. You can't beat the humor and premise of SPN, and that might have outweighed the sex. It already outweighs the horrendous theology.

Yes, you do! You should steal some of mine. I love them all. =o)

Tell me about it, I just wrote Charity and said something to the effect of that I HOPE they'll explain why heaven wants her dead and the WHY THE CRAP would Almighty, all powerful God be scared of a girl who can hear angels? I also pray the the way they're heading won't ruin the show for me entirely because that would SUCK. The angels were SO AWESOME but now they're only *slightly* better than the demons, just fighting for heaven.

I'm not crazy about the sex either but I love Anna because she reminds me of a Prophet declaring that the "end is nigh" as well as there seems to be a parallel between she and the Anna that was there for Jesus' dedication. (Since I *think* she was a Prophetess as well?)

*sigh* I just PRAY that everything is explained and that I don't have to hate the show because of where the writers took it.

My thoughts exactly! I don't worry too much about them screwing the show up completely though, because it has had issues since the beginning. If I could overlook those, I can probably overlook these. But I wish I didn't have to. =o/

Also - it drives me INSANE how they keep calling it "the book of Revelations". While there may be multiple revelations in it, it's actually called the book of Revelation. No S. Grr.

I really like her too. I totally don't see her with Dean though, so they will have to really convince me of that next week. That Anna from the Bible was indeed a prophetess. That would be an interesting parallel. I just wish the stupid angels weren't trying to stupidly kill her. Grr.

AGREED.

I know I'm weird for even reading comments that I don't get most of, but I wanted to say "Revelations" is one of my biggest pet peeves. Especially because most of the time I hear it it seems to come from those religious fanatics.

Me too. I also hate when people say "Psalms 23". It may be the book of Psalms, but when you're just quoting one, it's just a psalm!

Buffy! Before I stared watching Doctor Who, Buffy was my all time favorite television show. Now it's too hard to choose, but Buffy still remains my favorite (with Doctor Who tied for first). It was so brilliant, has such great writing and characters. You get so emotionally involved! TV shows rarely make me cry, but Buffy can! No matter how many times I've seen the episodes. I seriously need to finish updating my collction though... I need about 4 more seasons to have them all.

I love days when I love my outfit. :-) They are the best!

And yes! I'm glad Thanksgiving is almost here! Yay for the holidays! Soon it will be Christmas, which will be even better. :-D

I still haven't seen season 4 or 5 and up. That's when I went off to school, so I've only seen a few eps in those years. (I have seen "Once More With Feeling" though. Classic!) But I started from scratch because I wanted to get reintroduced to everyone. Boy, Xander has the greatest lines. Do he and Willow ever date? I seem to remember they did, but it might be wishful thinking. I liked her with Oz too, but I was never big on Xander/Cordelia, and certainly not Willow/Tara. (Although the way Willow "discovered" she was gay was pretty funny. "Also? I think I'm kinda gay." Heh.)

I think a lot of stores, like Best Buy and Circuit City, are putting a lot of their DVD shows on sale for $15 on Black Friday. I may venture out just to get Supernatural. We don't actually own any of the seasons. Plus I still need Gilmore Girls season 7.

Me too! I've had a lot of those lately... which is why y'all have seen so many pictures of me lately. Hehe.

I love Christmas. This year won't be quite as good though 'cause Aaron, Ange and the kids are going to her family's for 2 weeks. There's not much more fun than seeing little kids open their presents, and we won't get any of that this year. =o/

Season 5 is my all time favorite season. Closely followed by three than seven. Which happen to be the three season I own!
And yes OMWF is classic! I've been to a sing-a-long several times. It's awesome! Season 6 really isn't all that great, but that episode is awesome. And yeah, not a huge fan of Tara/Willow. And yeah, there is a bit of Xander/Willow action. But it happens when they are both with other people. Not so great. It's really sweet, but sad too.

Hmmm. Maybe I should hit up a couple of those stores... Sadly I'm working till 12:30. So may not get all the good shows.

Yeah, this year we are not going to North Carolina as we do every year for Christmas. And that makes Christmas not as exciting. Every Christmas Eve our family has a big reunion/gift exchange. And it's always fun to watch people get their gifts!

Which season is Nathan Fillion in? I'm really looking forward to him, even though he will always be Mal Reynolds to me. I also am intrigued that Doyle from Gilmore Girls is on there eventually. I've only seen him in two things, and then of course in person on "my" movie.

What a bummer that you don't get to go to NC! I hate when traditions like that can't happen for a time. I still miss my family's old Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions. They're impossible now though. =o(

I hadn't thought about how close Thanksgiving is. Crazy!

When you described that blouse earlier, I thought it sounded beautiful. I really want to see it. *hint hint*

Supercook? What, do you just tell it the different random things you have in your kitchen?

I've never seen the show (though I know my step-brother loved it), but I liked the movie Buffy.

Holy crap! What a mess! When we lived in NH, Jill hit and shattered the wall mirror at the top of the stairs. Talk about a mess. Will you be able to fix the wall easily? I hope it doesn't end up costing you more money. Well, I know it'll cost you more money, but it seems like you keep fixing stuff for something else to go wrong. :(

Isn't it? A week and a half now. Daaaang.

As I said before, I'm working on it. I will probably have pics up tomorrow.

Yeah, basically. And then it links you to all the recipes at recipe sites (allrecipes.com, cooks.com, etc.) that you can make. Pretty cool.

I liked the Buffy movie too, though now it's been so long since I've seen it that I hardly remember it. It was written by the same guy (the brilliant Joss Whedon), but the show is a little bit darker. Still hilarious though.

I think insurance will pay for a lot of it. I don't know though, but it was sure a mess.
