I am so sorry. *big hugs* This last month has really reminded me how precious our pets are to us... there's just a special way they fit in your arms, you know?
I, too, am convinced that our pets will meet us in heaven. Revelation 5:13 says that John heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and in the sea singing praises to the Lamb, and Paul wrote in Romans 8 that all creation was subject to the curse against its will, but looks forward to the day when it will "join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay" (Rom 8:21b, NLT). And who knows - maybe Sammie and Mandy could run into each other.
I took me a while to get up the strength/dry my eyes long enough to check it out, but someone suggested www.rainbowsbridge.com to me, and it really helped.
