+ These guys are absolutely my new heroes. If I had the time and the gas money, I would so do that.
+ I finally got around to altering and re-uploading my Gilmore Girls and Firefly shirts. They are not nearly as cool as the previous versions, but since the phrase "gilmore girls" and the word "firefly" are not actually mentioned on them anymore, they should be kosher. I'm not holding my breath, though, so if you want one, you'd better buy sooner rather than later. Gilmore shirt is here, and Firefly shirt is here. (
katharhino, I only used Papyrus on the Firefly one because it's used on the Serenity movie stuff. Don't hurt me! LOL.)
+ Some friends from church called and asked if we had plans for tonight. We didn't, so they invited us to attend Simply Ballroom with them, since they had extra tickets. I had never heard of it, but I love dancing, so we said yes. I looked it up online, and it sounds really cool. It even has two former American Idol finalists in it. Of course, I don't really remember either of them since I didn't watch their seasons, but it gives the show extra coolness in my mind.
+ Today I got an email from Linens 'n' Things confirming my refund for the return of my slow cooker. Thing is, my slow cooker is sitting in my kitchen right now. I bought it. I cooked roast beef in it. I did not return it. Yet somehow they think I did, and credited my card. Um... what? I'm going to call them and see what they're smoking, but I'm hoping they'll reward my honesty by leaving the charge refunded.
+ The other day I was in the car and I heard this fantastic Coldplay/Howie Day-esque song on one of the Christian radio stations. I memorized as many of the lyrics as I could, and Googled 'em as soon as I got in the house. It was "New Day" by Robbie Seay Band. I had heard of them before, since Air1 plays their song, "Song of Hope", but while I like that one, I never thought it was anything special. "New Day", though, is Christian music's answer to those alt-rock, piano-driven, semi-melancholic (wow, that was a lot of hyphenated words) secular bands. I listened to the rest of the songs on their MySpace and promptly bought their latest CD on BMG for $3. (I have free CD codes, so I just paid shipping. =oD ) They're a new musical interest for me, so I thought I'd share.
+ Apparently when I'm actually caught up on my friends page, I post a lot more. Weird trade-off.
