It was a rule to pluralize Smith by adding an apostrophe S? I didn't know that. Very strange.
I think adding an apostrophe to pluralize words (not letters) would still bother me if people were consistent, but the fact that they aren't just makes it worse. For example, at the flea market the other day that said, "Stereo's, Radios, Televisions," etc. Why does "Stereo's" get an apostrophe and not the other words? GAH!
