You'd be surprised how even "bad" coupons (to me if it's 50ยข off or less per item it's not so great) can get you great deals sometimes. So keep it up. =o) Also try to get coupon inserts from the paper, if you can at all. It's worth it to buy at least two newspapers each week if that's all you can do. My friend Eden (who lives in CT) seems to get a TON of good deals at Stop 'n' Shop. I wish we had that store! But I guess I have Publix, so I shouldn't complain.
I hope you can! It really is not difficult, and it's SO worthwhile. In the time it takes to watch a movie, you can save a ton of money. (Actually, I often watch TV while I'm copying and pasting deals and cutting coupons.) And if Jon still really wants to do the grocery shopping, you could always have him read this/other tutorials so he understands what's going on, but you could put together the list of deals you want and the coupons and such.
