I can crochet, but just in a line. Then I just connect the lines together simply. I tried doing a blanket once and only got about a third of the way done before giving up. It took FOREVER. I'd like to try again, and this time I'd probably experiment.

I figured you wouldn't get a newborn. As much as I like Kate, be glad you probably won't be getting one. It's hard in the beginning, because you get so little sleep, plus sometimes the crying seems never-ending. Then again, there's nothing that beats seeing that first smile or having that little hand grip yours. And no matter how old the baby is, you'll love buying little clothes for it!
